How does SunShift handle load shedding?
In preparation for load shedding SunShift will ensure you have enough battery backup stored to make it through load shedding without the lights switching off. The intelligence is in how much reserve is kept because any excess reserve is savings lost.
SunShift does not simply charge your batteries to a set level before load shedding, it only keeps the required reserve for the electricity you are predicted to use during load sheding and ensures all that backup power comes from solar generated power and not the grid wherever possible.
